This policy explains how Tailsake handles information when you browse the site, place an order, upload pet photos, create a private AI design, or contact us. Contact: hello@tailsake.com.
1. Information we collect
- Language preference — a first-party cookie or similar browser storage remembers whether you selected English or Chinese. We do not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Messages you choose to send — your email address and the information included in an email to us.
- Order and delivery information — PayPal processes payment details, while we and Shopify process checkout details such as your name, email, shipping address, items, payment status, and order number. We do not receive your full card number.
- Customization information — pet photos, optional pet names, selected frames and expressions, adjustment notes, AI previews, and your final approved design.
- Analytics and security data — we use first-party event records, optional Google Analytics, and Cloudflare Turnstile to understand the purchase journey and protect free AI previews. These services may process device, browser, IP address, and request information.
2. How we use information
- To remember your language choice.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To process orders, provide your private design link, generate previews, record your approval, produce and deliver the customized product, and provide support.
- To operate, maintain, and protect the website.
- To meet applicable legal, security, and abuse-prevention requirements.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use customer photos for marketing unless you separately give us permission.
3. Sharing with service providers
We share only the information reasonably needed with service providers that support the order: PayPal for payment processing; Shopify for order administration; Google Gemini for requested image generation; Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention; Google Analytics when enabled for site measurement; email providers for order and design-link messages; hosting and security providers; and production or shipping partners for making and delivering the product. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell customer photos or use them for advertising.
4. Data retention
Order records are retained as reasonably needed for fulfillment, support, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Uploaded photos and approved design assets are normally retained for up to 90 days so we can produce the item and handle reasonable support or remake requests, then deleted unless a longer period is required by law or an unresolved issue. Google and Shopify apply their own retention rules under their terms and privacy policies.
5. Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling activities. To submit a request, email hello@tailsake.com. We may verify your request and will respond as required by applicable law.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards for the website and email correspondence, but no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Children
This website and its image preview feature are intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not direct the website or preview feature to anyone under 18 and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
